HR Administrator

Full Time



£28,500 - £30,000 p.a.

The Southbank Centre is on the hunt for an HR Administrator to be part of the People Operations team in London. This is a 3 month temporary assignment with the possibility of becoming permanent.

The role

You will have a key part to play in resourcing and onboarding responsibilities across teams. This will include uploading new job adverts to external sites, liaising with candidates to book interviews, notifying candidates of decisions and sending feedback as required. In addition, the role will support the wider people team with a range of administrative tasks. From drafting and sending out contracts of employment, contract changes to internal staff to monitoring and responding to emails from the HR Team inbox.

You will also ensure the payroll tracker and HR system, including holidays, are up to date. As HR Administrator, you will serve as the primary point of contact for freelancers and ensure requests are completed in line with the relevant processes.

Our ideal candidate has strong administrative and organisational skills to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines. You should be a clear and positive communicator who can build rapport with colleagues and external contacts. Discretion and accuracy are essential, as you’ll be handling confidential information. The ability to ensure that all tasks are completed in line with Southbank Centre policies and UK employment law is essential. And  you should be confident in ensuring others follow these processes and understanding when to escalate issues.

A willingness to learn, a team player attitude, and proficiency in IT (especially Google Suite) are all important. Additionally, you should understand and be committed to diversity and inclusion, and ideally have prior HR experience.
