Artisan People are looking for full time Retail Assistants to work in the shops of one of Central London's oldest and most renowned museums. You should have previous retail experience, a strong work ethic, have experience of busy environments and enjoy working with people. This role will primarily be based around the multi-media desk in the museum.
Please note that this is a temporary, full time position organised around a fixed but rolling rota. You should be able to provide mostly a full availability on an ongoing basis, including evenings and weekends. 5 working days a week, 8.25 hour shifts between 0900-2115 with 1 weekend off per month.
The role runs from 29th April until 1st September. You must be available for an Interview on the 24th or 25th April with the Museum. Initial interviews will be held with Artisan People as soon as possible.
Induction - 29th- 1st May - must be available.
You must have:
Experience in retail or the busy service industry
Fluency in English
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with visitors
A positive and proactive approach to work
Experience of working under pressure
Team working and listening skills
Cash and card handling experience
Your duties will include:
Serving customers and selling products
Processing card and cash payments
Keeping the shop floor well-presented, clean and tidy
Restocking and replenishing shelves
Ensuring the smooth-running of the shop
Providing excellent customer service
Pay is £8.50ph for the first 12 weeks rising to £9.30ph.
