Visitor Services Supervisor

This is a fantastic opportunity for a charismatic and friendly individual to join a highly renowned Watts Gallery in the Artist’s Village in Guildford as a Visitor Services Supervisor.

The role

As Visitor Services Supervisor you’ll be responsible for ensuring all visitors to the gallery receive a warm welcome, and that the highest standard of customer service is offered at all times.

This roles’ specialism is Tours and Group Bookings, and you’ll ensure that staff and volunteers are always highly motivated, enthusiastic and friendly throughout the day..

You will ensure the site is clean, presentable and safe. You will answer visitors’ questions and deal with any customer service queries that may arise. A key aspect of the role is to support the recruitment, induction, training and appraisal of volunteers.

How you’ll dazzle us

We are looking for a customer service superstar who has excellent problem solving skills and a strong understanding of health and safety procedures and safeguarding. You will have experience working in a similar duty management role, as well as good planning and organisational skills.

You will be a natural team leader, with the ability to manage, train and mentor a team of staff and volunteers and ensure that the gallery is a pleasant environment for both staff and visitors at all times. Above all, you will be passionate about all things relating to art and heritage!
