This is a brilliant opportunity to join our renowned luxury beauty client as a Technical and Regulatory Executive based in Central London. This hybrid role will be 4 days in the office, one day working from home.
As Technical and Regulatory Executive, it’s your role to support the brand by assisting the team with the development and launch of compliant products, encompassing product claims and testing. You will support both the Company’s Technical and Regulatory function and NPD.
Using initiative and great communication skills, you will work collaboratively with cross functional departments, internally and externally, and liaise with authorities and professional associations including the CTPA, as well as manufacturers, and suppliers. You will help to guide the brand’s innovations and new products, maintaining an internal finished product and ingredient database.
Working closely with all areas of the business especially NPD and Operations, you’ll be a ‘’bridge’’ that connects between Sales and Technical. You’ll be expected to contribute to the overall business direction and strategy, as well as carry out additional duties when reasonably requested and where necessary within the defined levels of responsibility and accountability of the role.
This role profile is not exhaustive; it will be subject to periodic review and may be amended to meet the changing needs of the business. The post holder will be expected to participate in this process, and we would aim to reach agreement to the changes.
The ideal candidate will show evidence of proactively having taken initiatives to improve business efficiency or performance, minimising controllable costs, and keeping within budget.
You should demonstrate quality and timeliness of communication with relevant parties, attention to detail regarding day to day low level action points, and achievement of annual objectives. As well as exhibiting strong peer relationships and successful resolution of issues.
It is desirable within this role to proactively and independently research, and be aware of any upcoming regulatory changes and create a proposal to implement necessary changes.
It’s essential that you have an appropriate degree/technical qualification as well as intermediate to advanced IT skills in Microsoft Office. You’re also required to have previous experience within the Beauty Industry, commercial awareness and knowledge, and to have demonstrated progression and/or self-development in previous roles. An awareness of requirements and procedures associated with NPD is fundamental to this role.
