We’re looking for a confident and ambitious individual to take on a Showroom Manager position for a high-end Japanese knives brand based in Central London (W1).
As Showroom Manager, you will work for our Head of Ecommerce. Your role will be threefold. Firstly, to be present in store offering advice to potential customers on the wide range of kitchen knives, which are available to purchase in store. Secondly to manage the store, including stock, displays, maintenance and general upkeep. Thirdly, to respond to customer enquiries and issues via the email system.
You’ll be the keyholder for security, which will involve you opening and closing the store. You will also be fire marshal and Health & Safety first aid point of contact. You’ll be responsible for cash management as well as store facilities and maintenance which involves liaising with contractors and all general store management.
The role requires flexibility to work weekends and ad hoc days or evenings as required; however you will have time off the following week to compensate for this.
We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in knives and cooking.
As an individual you will demonstrate great communication skills, be trustworthy and reliable. You should be organised and well presented. Computer skills in excel and word are essential for this role.
