Senior Buying Manager

Our client is on the hunt for an ambitious Senior Buying Manager to join a brand that is reinventing retail and creating a customer-centric environment. The role is based in Dublin and offers a competitive salary, bonus plan, relocation package and other exciting benefits.

The role

As Senior Buying Manager, you’ll need to identify opportunities and make sound decisions and strategic moves for the business. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the delivery of future large-scale projects from conception stage. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering a solid commercial plan for the furniture, living and home brands
• Coordinating the activities of the team
• Ensuring that optimum quality and quantities of merchandise is available
• Making buying decisions based on a sound commercial framework to drive sales and profit
• Ensuring all vendor terms are managed
• Ensuring monthly gross profit reports are checked, cost to sell and payroll terms are all being actioned correctly
• Setting clear targets for direct reports, monitoring the results achieved and providing continuous feedback
• Having full oversight on high-level stock related data and insights and clearly defining metrics such as season forecasting across all brands
