We have a fantastic opportunity for someone confident and charismatic to join our Heritage Client as a Lead Buyer for their retail operations. The role can either be based in London, Swindon, one of the regional offices or remote.

The Role

As Lead Buyer, you’ll oversee the buying team to create a cohesive product offer across all retail categories. You’ll also plan and buy for your own retail categories, purchasing financially viable products that are within the annual budget. You will ensure that visitors are offered high quality products which reflect English Heritage collections, themes and stories.

You will make continual recommendations for improvements, and ensure that the retail vision comes to life in both physical and online shop spaces.

How you’ll dazzle us

The dream candidate for this role is someone with a passion for culture and heritage and a proven track record of buying in a retail business. Our client is looking for someone with fantastic knowledge of the UK retail and gift sector and experience of overseeing a buying team.

An analytical thinker and skilled negotiator, you’ll be a team player with strong commercial awareness. You’ll have excellent report writing and presentation skills.

This role requires occasional travel to sites that are often in remote locations, therefore a full driving licence is advantageous.
