Production Team Leader

An eco-friendly beauty brand is looking for a Production Team Leader to be based in Hertfordshire.

The role

Your key responsibilities:

• To be in charge of the production team and all production runs
• Help to identify staffing needs and help in the hiring process
• Be involved in staff performance reviews
• Help to evaluate new employees and coach existing employees, supporting their development by identifying further training needs
• Help to coordinate non-permanent agency staff
• Be in charge of quality control in production from receiving bulk to finished goods leaving the production room
• Coordinating with other teams, specifically the warehouse team, bulk team and the operations manager to make sure that stock needed is produced in a timely manner
• Be in charge of managing relevant stock numbers (eg unlabelled stock)
• Reporting any issues with machinery and coordinating any servicing and other maintenance works
• Helping to continuously improve all production processes and procedures
• Enforce all relevant safety and quality processing procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with company policies
• Suggest and help implement cost-saving ideas
• Ensure that the escalation procedure for quality concerns is followed
• Ensure all records are completed appropriately according to procedures
• Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them
