An innovative technology manufacturer is seeking a self-motivated Managing Director to be based in London.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have a proven track record selling solutions into the building services space.

Our ideal candidate comes with 7-10 years of B2B managing director/senior management business development and solution sales experience in the building services industry selling Proptech/IoT/SaaS/Big Data applications.

You boast a successful track record in financial management, possess deep industry relationships, and have a knack for driving client value. Skilled in proposal writing, documentation, and partnership development, you also excel in sales techniques. As a goal-oriented team player, you bring strong communication and presentation skills, coupled with deep technical knowledge in ICT, AI, Machine Learning, Big Data and Cloud Computing.

The role

As Managing Director, you will lead all operations to ensure the profitability of the company’s business. Your responsibilities include:

  • Identifying opportunities with existing contacts and relationships, capitalising on them regarding IoT technology adoption.
  • Working with the Board to raise capital to fuel growth in all areas of the business, i.e. sales, marketing, manufacturing, and operations.
  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, clients and partnerships.
  • Developing opportunities with existing key accounts and building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve organisational goals and objectives.
  • Delivering revenue objectives quarterly and annually through personal effort and with future team members.
  • Working with the Board to develop and identify investment partners to fuel business growth.
  • Monitoring industry trends and developments to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Managing and supervising a team of employees.
  • Providing leadership and direction to all departments within the organisation.
  • Overseeing the company’s financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Managing end-to-end sales cycle (virtually and in-person).
  • Developing and communicating accurate forecasts of solutions sales to the Management team.
  • Being Company’s IoT market expert.
  • Consulting with customers, commercial building owners, facilities management operators, specifiers, and contractors to bring the company’s revolutionary IoT hand hygiene solutions to market.
  • Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and stay current with new trends.
  • Recruiting, vetting, and training the very best talent in the market.
  • Leveraging all available resources within the organisation to drive market growth.
