Are you a Magento Specialist? Then this is an amazing new opportunity to become an Ecommerce Manager for a well-known brand based in Swindon for a 2.5 month contract, full time.
As Ecommerce Manager, you will report to the Head of Retail and be responsible for the delivery of sales and profit for the online shop. You will drive and implement the ecommerce strategy to maximise sales, retain customers and ensure customer care and quality of service is of the highest level. You’ll be responsible for improving the user experience (UX) to enable the brand to acquire new customers whilst retaining existing ones. You will drive profit and be a key decision maker, with budget responsibility. It’s essential that you have an entrepreneurial flair, are able to identify areas of opportunity, and provide expertise on current industry best practices.
You’ll lead on the brand’s retail digital experience across both B2C and our emerging B2B business (in conjunction with the Licensing & Commercial Development Manager). In collaboration with the buying, merchandising and brand teams, you will develop the online shop proposition to become an award winning ecommerce business.
This role requires occasional travel to sites that are often in remote locations, so a full driving licence is advantageous but not essential. The company will provide you with a phone and laptop. The role can be homeworker however, it would be great if you lived close to the Swindon offices.
The perfect candidate is someone who is an assertive, tenacious and visible manager, has experience of managing an ecommerce business (P&L, UX & SEO) as well as experience in overseeing a digital brand (including photography and artwork), proposition development and developing/managing retail marketing campaigns. A proven track record of maximising sales and profit growth is essential along with experience of working with an external developer to ensure good functionality.
We’re looking for an organised self starter who can work on their own initiative and has excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills. You should be highly diligent and have a strong attention to detail. As well as this, you should have strong collaborative interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines. You’ll be required to have a knowledge of retail inventory management,
Ideally, you will show advanced levels of Microsoft Office skills (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and moderate levels of design package skills (i.e. Adobe Photoshop or InDesign). The ability to deliver high levels of standards against brand guidelines along with establishing and cultivating effective internal and external stakeholder relationships is a must.
You should have a proactive approach to working through options to recommend solution(s), embracing change. You’ll demonstrate behaviours of Collaboration, Innovation and Empowerment through effective working practises and interactions with colleagues, stakeholders and retail networks.
