Digital Manager – China

This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a world renowned skincare brand loved by celebrities and consumers alike. Due to exciting business expansion, our Client is seeking a passionate and self-motivated individual to join their London Digital team, to support their digital ecosystem strategy in China as Digital Manager.

Could this be you?

You will be partnering with their ad agency and business counterparts in China to ensure the content generated follows the brand guidelines and that messages are matched with the brand perception.
You will need to understand Chinese consumers’ interactions and behaviours with the trending eCommerce and social media platforms in China. You will help to champion and emphasise customer
experience consistency, regardless of whether it is online or offline, optimising content and customer engagements at all digital touch points (website/social media/KOLs etc.) You will become familiarised
with how the local China teams orchestrate campaigns and strengthen the DTC model and share best practice, as well as lessons learned with the global Digital Experience Team.

You will act as the liaison between partners and internal stakeholders and help to streamline business processes and communication, to optimise each other’s understanding of the digital KPIs and
ensure the localised initiatives and strategy complement and support the same of the Digital Experience’s.

The role

Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, your duties will include:

  • Work with Head Office Marketing and Brand Teams to ensure local assets needs are met and supported by Head Office based on the planned social and campaign calendar
  • Keep Partners informed of new products launch dates and/or change, ensuring an up-to-date marketing calendar is maintained
  • Optimise customer experience to support and ensure overall sales targets are met
  • Become familiar with all of the marketing initiatives, customer acquisition and retention programmes via key marketing channels (Tmall, Little Red Book, Weibo, WeChat Miniprogram, B2B
    platform Taibao etc)
  • Provide Head Office teams with reports on KPIs, with details around ROASs, marketing budget allocation for each channel, returns on awareness and engagement
  • Monitor online brands’ presence on related own and retailer websites, ensuring coherence and respect of brand guidelines in terms of product presentation, pricing policy and web marketing agreements
  • Research and analyse local market and competitors
  • Sense check social media channels e.g. Weibo and Wechat official accounts to understand customers’ overall satisfaction and sentiment about brand
  • Monitor each campaign’s outcome and response times to issues and challenges

How you’ll dazzle us

Preferably with a Batchelor’s Degree, you will need to have over 4 years’ experience of eCommerce preferably gained in beauty and/or luxury sectors.

You’ll have a proven track record of digital marketing and e-commerce best practice and an understanding of Chinese expats shopping behaviour and customer service expectation, as well as of those who reside in China.

Fluent in both Mandarin and English, you have excellent communication skills, are an excellent problem solver and have an eye for detail.
