The British Museum is searching for a dedicated Diary Manager and Assistant to the Director to take on a full time temporary assignment until 5th August 2024.
As Diary Manager and Assistant to the Director, you will provide the Director with efficient management of his diary, manage his national and international visits, as well as expenses and the catering budget for meetings. You will also lead on the coordination of VIP visits to the British Museum and manage the programme of staff engagement talks.
An overview of your key responsibilities include:
Our ideal candidate is someone who has their A-levels or equivalent and is proficient in standard office software (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). An understanding of senior diary management and strong administrative skills is essential. Experience creating presentations and working with high-level individuals is a plus, especially in a museum or cultural setting.
You possess excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills. You are able to prioritise tasks, work independently under pressure, and handle confidential information with tact and diplomacy. A flexible and adaptable approach is key, as you’ll be working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
You are required to produce a physical DBS certificate.
