Assistant NPD Manager

A luxury beauty brand is looking for an Assistant NPD Manager to be based in London.

The role

As Assistant NPD Manager, you will support the NPD department in all matters relating to product development and product lifecycle management, including but not limited to successful project management, cost creation and monitoring, CPA management, quality management, business communication and administration.

An overview of your key responsibilities:

• Manage product development projects from concept to launch, ensuring they meet deadlines and regulations.
• Work with internal teams (design, marketing) and external suppliers to develop new products.
• Create and track project budgets and timelines, negotiate with suppliers, and manage costs.
• Write product descriptions and packaging copy based on research and positioning.
• Conduct competitor research and propose new product ideas based on market trends.
• Analyse data from raw material testing, user trials, and clinical studies.
• Manage packaging artwork creation and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Identify and resolve quality issues related to new products.
• Mentor and coach junior team members.

How you’ll dazzle us

Our ideal candidate has a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field and has substantial experience in the beauty industry, ideally spanning both luxury and mass markets. Demonstrated career progression, strong commercial acumen, and exceptional communication and organisational skills are essential.

A proven ability to build relationships, coupled with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving, are key attributes for success in this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a flexible, results-oriented mindset are also required.
