A well-established high – end garden centre is looking to hire a hands on and dynamic Assistant General Manager, based in North London.
As Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the center’s retail store. Candidates with 5 years plus experience of managing and developing retail sales teams to deliver excellent customer service with a passion for horticulture will be ideal. Candidates that come from FMCG sectors as a store manager with great retail skills will also be suitable. Excellent salary and benefits
You’ll set the standard for amazing customer service and product knowledge throughout the team, creating sales goals and reviewing these targets regularly. You will assist with inventory management and visual merchandising tasks.
The dream candidate for this role is someone with retail store experience. You’ll have brilliant communication and customer service skills, as well as being highly organised and able to manage a team.
We’re looking for a charismatic person with a positive, can-do attitude, someone with a bundle of energy who has not job hopped and has an interest in retail management. We want someone who is as comfortable advising customers as they are helping to task team members and ensure that tasks set have been completed. Ultimately, we want someone who will stick out their elbows and work really hard.
Weekend work is a must and coming from a Garden Centre background is ideal, however not essential.
