Accounts Receivable Assistant

A luxury beauty brand is looking for an Accounts Receivable Assistant to work 3 days a week, based in London.

The role

As Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will support the Credit Controller and the Finance team in managing Business Partners’ accounts, chase debts, provide great customer service and support the Sales team.

Main responsibilities:

• Process incoming payments (B2B only)
• Proactively maximise cash collection and ensure KPIs are achieved
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger (B2B only) to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Prepare and send statements of account to customers
• Work with Sales and Operations team to resolve customer disputes promptly and efficiently
• Monitor and maintain AR mailbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses to customer enquiries and internal communications
• Keep records of promotional and marketing expenses and update internal tracker
• Access and manage customer portals to help reconcile our data on SAP
• Maintain and update customer records in the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Prioritise important tasks and demonstrate ability to work under pressure meeting deadlines
• Provide support to the finance team as needed

How you’ll dazzle us

Our ideal candidate has a minimum of two years’ relevant experience and holds an AAT Level 2 qualification or equivalent degree within the subject area. A strong foundation in accounting principles, coupled with advanced Excel skills and a proven track record of professional growth is essential.

Demonstrating commercial acumen, particularly within the retail or consumer goods sector, is advantageous. You will be a detail-oriented, adaptable team player with excellent communication and time management abilities. Prior experience with SAP B1 software is desirable.
