When it comes to finding a summer job as an undergraduate, most students are looking for a temporary role where they can start earning straight away, with flexible hours so that they can still enjoy their summer break. Galleries & Museums

We have positions available at many heritage visitor attractions, museums and galleries around London. If you are an historian or an art buff, this could be the perfect fit for you!

Excellent customer service skills are a must for this type of role, as you will need to be able to answer any questions visitors may have, as well as be willing to go the extra mile to ensure they have a fantastic experience. The type of temporary visitor attraction roles we have are retail, front of house, ticketing,  visitor services and ushers. We are particularly interested in people who have an SIA licence for these types of roles.

Luxury retail

Artisan People works alongside numerous luxury beauty, fashion and fragrance clients such as Estée Lauder, L’Oréal, Armani and Chanel. If you love all things luxury retail and would like to spend your summer working with these brands, get in touch and we’ll find your dream role.

We are looking for people who are confident, bubbly and able to stand out from the crowd and chat to passers by. Many of these roles are at temporary pop-ups or on the shop floor in large department stores, so you’ll need to be able to grab the attention of potential customers and entice them to try your products. The most amazing thing about these roles is that you can often choose a shift pattern that is best suited to your summer schedule.

Travel retail

Travel retail is another fabulous choice for a summer position, although this one requires a little more planning ahead as you will need to secure your Airport Pass in advance – this is something we’ll help you with. You will offer customers expert advice on which luxury makeup or beauty products are perfect for their needs. You’ll be friendly, helpful and well presented at all times to ensure that every traveller has an outstanding airport experience.

We find that people who love the performing arts are brilliant in these sorts of roles, so if you are studying to become an actor, musician or dancer, a role in airside retail – the most exciting shop floor in the world – might be your summer calling!

Events

We are always on the lookout for temporary staff to work for our corporate hospitality and events clients. Typical positions include waiters, marshalls, bartenders, visitor information staff, washroom attendants, cloakroom staff and team leaders.

We are always on the hunt for passionate, enthusiastic and motivated individuals who strive to provide an exceptional standard of service at all times during these events. There’s no training or experience required, we will teach you everything you need to know!
