In the Line of Beauty are the Education and Training division of Artisan People, who provide a specialist recruitment service for the beauty industry including cosmetics, fragrance, luxury brands, fashion retail, corporate and retail beauty positions, as well as for museums and galleries. Artisan People have long term relationships with high calibre clients, including Estee Lauder, L’Oréal and Chanel. As well as the major department stores in London such as Harvey Nicholls and Selfridges and operate nationally.
Our Retail Academy offers exceptional training in all forms of make-up, retail beauty and customer service. We support our learners with comprehensive employability training, as well as relevant and fulfilling work experience placements, with a definite job opportunity within the Retail Beauty sector for our successful students.
With our extensive expertise of the sector and inspirational Tutors, we provide learners with the competences, attitudes and skills required to start a successful career.

All students will be offered a work experience on completion of their course and successful candidates adefinite work opportunity within Artisan People.
In the Line of Beauty believe that all training given should be current, which is why our tutors also work in industry. Our makeup trainers are freelance, so are using up to date techniques and practices with which to train our learners.
Our customer service and employability skills are taught by industry recruiters and employability consultants.
In addition, our learners will have the opportunity to meet with guest speakers from some of our luxury retail partners.
Our expert training together with our learner’s enthusiasm and passion will lead to success.
Throughout this course learners will be tutored in retail makeup artist skills, service excellence, the art of selling, and employability training including CV preparation and interview techniques.

Throughout the course learners will be tutored in makeup, fragrance, skin and customer care, as well as the art of selling. These are the critical skills required in the Retail Beauty sector.
In addition to this our learners will obtain employability training as well as work experience placements.

All successful learners will be offered an interview with Artisan People, an established recruitment brand with more than 30 year’s experience in the Beauty and Luxury industry.
Clare Patterson has over two decades experience in the beauty retail industry. She managed the recruitment, training, development and deployment of Retail Consultants within Estee Lauder Group of Companies Temporary Staffing division. Whilst with Estee Lauder she developed the training programme for temporary consultants for some of Estee Lauder Bureau’s top clients. As well as implemented a Level 2 qualification working with an educational institution to embed employability skills into the sector and best practice for the retail beauty industry. Clare also led on a recruitment strategy which enabled students who would not traditionally work for the Estee Lauder Group gain employment by designing and implementing a bespoke recruitment service for Further Education colleges.
Clare has a passion for training and development as well as working with young people in the retail beauty sector. She is also passionate about customer service and ensuring everyone can succeed with the right training irrespective of background, race. religion or gender, as beauty comes in many different facets and forms.
Clare is an energetic, warm, and jovial trainer who inspires her learners. She believes that we all have talents that can be recognised, developed, and utilised.
Since studying make-up and hair at The London College of Fashion Sarah has had a varied career working across all mediums of makeup most recently in TV, Film and Theatre as well as being able to work with beauty brands such as Shu Uemura, The Estée Lauder Companies and NARS.
It was whilst working with The Estée Lauder Companies that Sarah had the opportunity to develop and deliver make-up and brand training courses to suit all different aptitudes to ensure all consultants had the skills and confidence they need for their career in the beauty retail industry.
Eamonn is an energetic leader of social and educational initiatives, with ambition and drive to make a difference to people’s lives. He does this by having effective engagement with educational institutions, employers and industry, as well as valuable experience and an understanding of the mechanisms of Central and Local government, Parliament and cooperating with Corporate and SME businesses and on community projects.
Eamonn is passionate about the future and prospects of young people, and is very keen about influencing and shaping the employment opportunities and employability skills for the 21 st Century. He is a conscientious skilled Manager, with vision looking to make a positive difference, with project and programme management, enterprise and employability expertise. A former British Diplomat and Civil Servant with twenty-four years’ experience of how to work with Central and Local government and stakeholder and team management. He has also worked for the charities Centrepoint and as a Progression Mentor for the Princes Trust. He is an excellent communicator, presenter and networker with the ability to engage with young and disadvantaged individuals, as well as a trained Career Coach with proven people development ability. He has set up projects working within Further Education to assist with student’s employability skills and ensuring they are better prepared for work by developing ventures and partnerships working closely with employers across sectors.
